The Death Recognition System was born in 2009, out of the desire to collaborate on a musical project unlike anything that the individual members had done previously. The idea was formed by frequent collaborators Michael Pollack (Thought Division) and Tristan May (Hatred Hurt Itself). The music was created and polished, it just lacked one final element. Enter then newcomer to the music scene, vocalist Kevin Gasner. Together the 3 friends created a series of songs that grew into something special. Something bigger than the sum of its individual parts. The ideas came, if not easily, at least strong and full of passion. However, life, as they say, happens. The three went through many changes, both in their personal and professional lives. Set aside though never forgotten, now, they are pleased to present to the world, “A Decade of Silence” the debut EP of The Death Recognition System. Music that spans the years, two continents, and represents a true collaboration of mutual respect and talent.
